The Fox in the Forest Victory Conditions

How to Win

The player with the most points when the game ends wins. In case of a tie, the player who scored more points in the final round wins. Game length variants: 16 points (shorter game) or 35 points (longer game).

Game End Trigger

The game ends immediately when either player has 21 or more points at the end of a round.

End Game Procedure

1. After all 13 tricks are played, count the tricks each player won.
2. Award points according to the scoring table.
3. If neither player has 21+ points, shuffle all cards and deal a new round.
4. Alternate who deals each round (non-dealer leads the first trick).

Final Scoring

• 0-3 Tricks (Humble): Score 6 points. You avoided falling prey to the curse of the forest.
• 4 Tricks (Defeated): Score 1 point.
• 5 Tricks (Defeated): Score 2 points.
• 6 Tricks (Defeated): Score 3 points.
• 7-9 Tricks (Victorious): Score 6 points. You achieved victory through skill.
• 10-13 Tricks (Greedy): Score 0 points. Your greed has caught up with you!
• Treasure Cards (7s): During play, winning a trick with a 7 scores 1 bonus point per 7 in that trick.
