Setup Steps

1. Each player takes a vineyard mat and all tokens of a single color.
2. Place your wake-up (rooster) token by the Wake-up Chart, victory points (cork) on the START space of the VP Track, and residual payments (wine bottle) in the center of the Residual Payment Tracker (on the lira symbol).
3. Take Workers: Each player takes 2 worker tokens and 1 grande worker token. Set the remaining worker tokens aside in your reserve pool.
4. Deal Pinot Cards: Set aside as many pinot cards from the vine deck as there are players and give one to each player.
5. Shuffle each of the vine, summer visitor, wine order, and winter visitor decks and place them face-down in their respective spaces.
6. Starting Hand: Give each player one random summer visitor card and 3 lira.
7. Randomly choose a starting player to take the first player token (green grapes). Start with the spring season.
