Setup Steps
- Lay out cards: Lay out the employee and milestone cards according to the reference image. For each employee card marked with ●, remove cards based on player count.
- Remove specific cards: Remove employee cards #12, #15, and #16. (2 players)
- Remove specific cards: Remove 1 copy of each ● employee card. Remove employee cards #15 and #16. (3 players)
- Remove specific cards: Remove 2 copies of each ● employee card. Remove employee card #16. (4 players)
- Remove specific cards: Remove 3 copies of each ● employee card. (5 players)
- Remove billboards: Put billboards #12, #15, and #16 back in the box. (2 players)
- Remove billboards: Put billboards #15 and #16 back in the box. (3 players)
- Remove billboards: Put billboard #16 back in the box. (4 players)
- Create map: Create a 3x3 map by randomly selecting 9 map tiles. Rotate each tile randomly before placing in a grid. (2 players)
- Create map: Create a 3x4 map by randomly selecting 12 map tiles. Rotate each tile randomly before placing in a grid. (3 players)
- Create map: Create a 4x4 map by randomly selecting 16 map tiles. Rotate each tile randomly before placing in a grid. (4 players)
- Create map: Create a 5x4 map by randomly selecting 20 map tiles. Rotate each tile randomly before placing in a grid. (5 players)
- Fill the bank: Place $50 per player into the bank pool using practical (small) bills. Put the rest back in the box.
- Choose chains: Each player chooses a restaurant chain and receives a CEO card, 3 restaurants, and a set of 3 bank reserve cards.
- Determine initial turn order: Collect turn order markers of chosen chains, shuffle them, and randomly place them on the turn order track in drawn order.
- Place first restaurants: Starting with the last player in turn order and ending with the first, each player may either place a restaurant or pass. If anyone passed, do a second round in turn order where remaining players must place.
- Set reserve goals: Each player chooses one of their three bank reserve cards and places it face down next to the bank. Discard the other two unseen.
