Scoring Categories

• Noble Majority: Count the number of nobles each side controls on the board at the end of the final year of the scenario. The side with the majority wins. If Moray is dead or in the Draw Pool, there are effectively only 13 nobles in play.
• Braveheart Tiebreaker: In Braveheart (1297-1305), a 7-7 tie is possible. If tied: the Scots win if Wallace is alive on the map; the English win if Wallace is dead or in the Scottish Draw Pool.
• Sudden Death -- All Nobles: At the end of any Game Turn: if one side controls EVERY noble currently in play, they win immediately. Note: Moray must be dead or in the Draw Pool for England to win this way (he never defects).
• Sudden Death -- Edward II Killed: The Scottish player wins immediately if the Edward II block is eliminated in combat (a black-cross block, permanently dead). Killing Edward I in combat does NOT trigger Sudden Death -- the block simply flips to Edward II.
• Sudden Death -- Scottish King Killed: The English player wins immediately if the crowned Scottish King block (Bruce, Comyn, or Balliol once on the throne) is eliminated in combat. Black-cross block, permanently dead.
